Components Of Salary Mentioned In The Pay Slip

Human Resource Department in an organization generally issue pay slip on a Monthly basis to all employees in an enterprise which includes additions and subtractions in the pay slip. The particulars mentioned in the pay slip are name of the employee, employee identification number, Provident Fund Account Number, Date of Joining of an employee, no. of days of a particular month. The additions of the salary are Basic Salary, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Educational allowance, Leave Travel allowance, medical allowance, personal allowances, and entertainment allowances. The addition of all the allowances refers to the Gross Salary. The average salary deductions in salary relates to the following ingredients such as Company Loan, Housing Loan, Income tax deduction, Employee state insurance deduction, Provident Fund recoveries, Life insurance corporation of India premium recoveries, Labour Welfare Fund recoveries, Professional Tax recoveries. The amount of company salary after deducting all the above said deductions from Gross salary is termed as Net Salary. Pay slip is an important document for proof of employment and facilitates an individual for availing loans from nationalized bank or private banks. The employee after getting pay slip from an organization shall be checked thoroughly. If there is any mistake or omission then it should be brought to the notice of the person responsible for the human resource department.
